Getting started in Schedule Star

The first step to setting up your Schedule Star program is to build your directories. 
The 9 directories are located at the top of your main calendar view:

Click on the links below for instructions on how to set up each directory. It is recommended that you follow the order of the directories below when setting them up. Following the directories are the most commonly used areas of Schedule Star.

1. Opponents Directory
In order to schedule events with other schools, you must first have your opponents directory built. Schedule Star already has a database created for you to select your opponents from.

To add to your Opponent's Directory:

  1. Click on your Opponents tab to open the directory.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Within the search window, search for the opponent by the exact school name, the zip code or by selecting the state in the drop down. (We recommend selecting the state which the school is located and scroll through the list to find your opponent.)
  4. Once you find the opponent in the list click on it to highlight it in the list.
  5. Then click Add Selected.
 

2. Officials Directory
To Add an Official:

  1. Click on the Officials directory tab.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the official's information.
  4. Click Save.

*The only required information to save an officials information is first and last name.  If you add an email address for an official you can set them up to receive automatic reminders of any events they are assigned to.
 

3. Game Help Directory
To add a Game Help worker:

  1. Click the Game Help directory tab.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter in the Game Help worker's information.
  4. Click Save.
 

4. Facilities Directory
To add a Facility:

  1. Click the Facility directory tab.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter in the Facility name/address.
  4. Click Save.

*We recommend adding an address. If you enter an address for the facility and assign that facility to the event the address will show on the public site for the parents/fans to see the exact location of the event and use Google Maps to get directions to the event.

5. Transportation Directory
To add Transportation:

  1. Click on the Transportation tab to open the directory.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Add all required fields.
  4. Click Save.​


 6. Students Directory
To add a student:

  1. Click on the Students directory tab
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the required information.
  4. Click Save.

If you would rather not enter students one by one we do offer a student import. Please use the student import CSV file header and import guide on this page.
 

7. Coaches Directory
To add a coach:

  1. Click on the Coaches directory tab.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter all required fields.
  4. Click Save.
 

8. Teams Directory
To build a roster:

  1. Click on the Teams tab.
  2. Select the Year, Gender, Level, Sport, Season.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Select the students from the list.
  5. Click Done.
  6. Click Save.
 

9. Calendar

  • Click the double arrows to move yearly.​
  • ​​​Click the single arrow to move monthly.​
  • Click "Today" to view today's events.​
  • Dates that are yellow are days with scheduled events.

 

 

11. Add Events

To add an event:

  1. Click on the date within the calendar.
  2. Click Add Event.
  3. Add all required fields
  4. Then click Save.
 

12. Remove Events

To remove an event, locate the event within your event list, and then click the three vertical dots next to the event.

Click Delete and then click OK.

13. Edit Events

Editing events can be done multiple ways - the first is to just locate the event within your event list and then double-click on the event. The Edit Event window will open.

The second way is to locate the event within your event list, and then click the three vertical dots next to the event.


Click Edit, make your changes, and then click Save.
